When you start a boxing gym, the instructors usually want to do as much as possible in a short amount of time. So you will usually begin by warming up, doing bodyweight exercises and some running and skipping.

Finally, after doing these warm-up exercise’s, the instructor will usually tell you to shadowbox in a mirror. The instructor will then usually pull out some focus mitts….

Focus mitts require you to have a partner and are a versatile tool for boxing training. They help with perfecting your punches because you need to be focused on both your technique and your defence.
